When down-and-out fashion designer Roderick Kingsley discovers Norman Osborn’s abandoned hideout, he repurposes the tech and goblin formula to become the terrifying Hobgoblin!
The MC/DC team is proud to announce Hobgoblin, an Underling villain, swooping in to terrorize the heroes as he soars through the streets of New York this fall. The sometimes rival, sometimes reluctant ally of Kingpin, arrives at MC/DC fully compatible with the modular Fear No Evil scenarios, adding even more variety to an already diverse box.
Trick-Or-Treat!
What October event would be complete without some pumpkins? Never fear, heroes!
Hobgoblin is ready to celebrate the spooky season with his forced response. After he attacks you, he’ll give you a special pumpkin bomb shaped trick-or-treat. As Hobgoblin flies through the city (and encounter deck) atop his glider, each pumpkin bomb will resolve a different effect based on the encounter cards you discard.
As if Hobgoblin’s pumpkin bombs weren’t terrifying enough, Hobgoblin complements his demonic weaponry with a Flaming Sword. This intimidating energy weapon pierces through your heroes’ toughness while allowing Hobgoblin to deploy even more pumpkin bombs. With a Guise to Terrorize, nowhere is safe from Hobgoblin’s Designs on Crimes.
Hobgoblin’s Henchmen
Hobgoblin doesn’t always work alone. This famed member of the Sinister Six often employs the help of criminal trio, The Enforcers. Montana, Ox, and Fancy Dan lend their hired muscle as a new triple threat to your heroes. They’ll occupy your time as Hobgoblin speeds further through the encounter deck.
But, these three aren’t the only hired guns on Hobgoblin’s payroll. The Prowler will happily lend his skills to the fight as long as he gets something out of the deal, stealing your upgrades with his quickstrike attacks.
With all these encounter discard effects, Hobgoblin is very likely to accelerate through the deck multiple times. And look out below! The faster he goes, the more deadly the Wrath of the Hobgoblin becomes!

We can’t wait to bring Hobgoblin to the table at MC/DC 2026 this fall. Each attendee of the con will receive a copy of the villain ready to play with any Fear No Evil scenario content.
