Attending MC/DC

What Time Do Things Start?

The event itself begins Friday, October 16 at Huzzah Hobbies, with each day kicking off at 10am.

Check in will start at 9:30 AM, 30 minutes before doors open on Friday. Please have your ticket QR code either up on your phone or printed out. If you don't have it, please bring a photo ID.

 Upon check in, everyone will receive their bundle of custom cards and other materials.

What do I do if I get there late?

Come find one of the MC/DC Lead Team members wearing an orange lanyard and we’ll be happy to get you checked in and ready to jump in!

What food is available at Huzzah hobbies?

Huzzah Hobbies has a snack bar that sells food & drinks, including beer.

Where is there to eat around HUzzah and the Hotel?

There are a number of restaurants around Huzzah and the hotel!

The following locations are offering 10% discounts all weekend:

  • Author's Ice Cream (they’ll be serving coffee each day starting at 9:30 each day)

  • Fountain Grille

  • Potomac Taphouse

  • Xaymaca Fusion Kitchen

Just wear your MC/DC lanyard and remind them of the discount. All of these are within walking distance of Huzzah Hobbies.

Can i bring outside food/drink?

Outside food and drink is allowed in Huzzah Hobbies, but outside alcohol is prohibited. Please keep in mind that space will be limited in the game area.

What if I need Help During the Event?

The MC/DC team will be wearing lanyards and MC/DC t-shirts — grab one of us if you have any questions or concerns!

What should I bring with me?

Check out our Packing List for everything you need to bring from required campaign content to the exact number of sleeves, and more.

Although we’re adding space this year, we encourage everyone to pack their cards such that whatever you bring to the con will fit under your seat so everyone has ample room to play.

What if i need to cancel? Are refunds available?

We can refund tickets up until October 1, 2026. Please email team@mcdc.fun with your Order Number and we’ll help process the refund.

Each attendee receives:

  • Entry to play in the event for all 3 days

  • Use of free play space at the hotel (whether staying at the hotel or not)

  • 2 custom scenarios

  • 4 modular sets

  • A booster pack of unofficial, full-art reprints of Marvel Champions aspect + basic cards

Where is MC/DC taking place?

MC/DC is hosted at Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn, VA, only eight miles from Dulles airport. See our travel page for more details.

What’s the Easiest way to get there?

The nearest airport is Dulles International Airport (IAD), approximately 8 miles away. See our travel page for more details.

Given Recent Events, Does MC/DC Require Entering Washington D.C.?

MC/DC guests will not need to go through Washington D.C. at all — the recommended airport (IAD), hotels, and convention venue (Huzzah Hobbies) are all in Virginia outside of the district. See our travel page for more details.

What Accommodations Are available?

Accommodations are available at two hotels:

While this hotel is a 5-10 minute drive from Huzzah Hobbies, we are coordinating with DMV locals to help pick up and drop folks off as best we can. You can book the discounted block rate using this link.
